The Courtney Sofa by Gianetti Home

Monday, July 11, 2011

I am quite passionate about well made furniture, especially if it is slipcovered in Belgian linen as is the Courtney Sofa by Gianetti Home. Of course the designers behind this fabulous piece are Brooke and Steve Gianetti of the popular and inspiring blog Velvet and Linen. Their description of the sofa includes the line "It is meant to be sprinkled with your favorite pillows." I love that! They are an extremely talented couple and if you haven't checked out their designs you really should! Here is a link to Brooke's interview in Veranda where she shares some decorating tips. Below are some photos from the article.

Swedish Palette in Veranda

Everything about this home designed by Shannon Bowers in Veranda Magazine is lovely in my eyes. The liberal use of linen, subtle colors and European furnishings are amazing. Click here for all the details.

Veranda Magazine Shares a Bahamian Palladio

Monday, June 14, 2010

In the May-June 2010 issue of Veranda Magazine, a gorgeous home named Ca'Liza was featured. The designer and owner, Amanda Lindroth, says the home was "inspired by the Palladian architecture that was so prevalent in traditional colonial architecture." I was drawn to its sheer beauty, amazing beach location in the Bahamas and of course the liberal use of linen throughout many of the rooms. The pictures are from Amanda Lindroth's website. There are so many wonderful shots to choose from, so I am sharing my favorites.
