Linen Banners
Saturday, September 18, 2010
I thought these linen banners on Etsy were precious. My younger daughter's first birthday is coming up in October. For about a minute I considered making a banner for her party by myself...then I remembered someone much more talented than me has already done it most likely. After a short search I found many wonderful items, but these are my favorites.
Rainbow Garden Flags
Love This Sofa
House of Turquoise featured this photo from October's House Beautiful (page 117). Stripes and turquoise are two of my favorites which made this sofa an instant hit with me.

Serena and Lily - The Fall Catalog!
Wednesday, September 15, 2010
Serena and Lily has long been one of my favorites for bedding and decor inspiration. Their new fall catalog is out and it is amazing. Check out the site for all of their updated items. I love how they give their clients ideas on how to decorate an entire room. See below for a few examples. They have many original, cotton fabrics as well as a beautiful linen line to choose from for upholstery and bedding. I rock my baby to sleep in our Hayes Glider each night and I can confirm that their furniture is incredibly comfortable!
Enjoy....
I had to include this new ottoman called a Chakki. Isn't it wonderful?

Bedding by Rough Linen
My friend Andrika from Nursery Notations told me about this wonderful bedding that I am so excited to share with you. The company, Rough Linen, was inspired by designer Tricia Rose's grandmother's linens. Tricia uses a traditionally woven coarse linen for her line. Her attention to detail is meticulous and her love of this textured fabric is evident in her product. My favorite is the St. Barts collection featured in the first photo, but really they are all quite tempting to a linen lover like myself.
Tricia mentioned this book on her site that I really want to get. Here is the link at Amazon. Tricia's blog, Cabin on the Water, is a great resource for linen ideas as well. What a great find - thanks Andrika!
